19th Century Bronze Figure of The Shepherd ACIS Inspired by Jean-Baptiste Tuby

Description

The draped figure leaning on a tree stump, his arms raised to play the flute as he turns to the right, raised on an integral bronze and a further marble base. The figure modelled on The Shepherd Acis (1674) sculpture in the Parc de Versailles.

Provenance: Private UK Collection.

Condition: The joint between the figure and the base is slightly loose. Overall in good condition.

Weight: 2900 grams.
